Viria Has Acquired Nordic LAN&WAN Communication

Finnish security and IT group Viria has acquired Nordic LAN&WAN Communication.

LAN&WAN that provides IT security and network services makes a strong addition to Viria, who focuses on security, network and information analytics solutions.

”We have a very strong growth strategy in place for the next few years and we have been looking for a company just like this one to reinforce our business operations. Now our operations are in line with our strategy, combining physical and digital security, information management and analytics. These areas have many points in common and there is definitely an opportunity for innovative solutions that will benefit our customers”, says Mika Vihervuori, CEO of Viria.

Earlier this year, Viria acquired 41 percent of Aureolis, a company that provides business intelligence solutions.

“Over a short period of time we’ve made two important acquisitions, and now Viria has the very core businesses that were written into our strategy at the end of last year, i.e. security, network and information business. This is a great starting point for continued group development and growth”, Vihervuori states contentedly.

Pertti Pikkarainen, CEO of LAN&WAN and one of the company’s former owners, is also pleased.

“This gives us more strength to develop our business and expand our clientele”, says Pikkarainen, who will continue as CEO.
